Cloud cost reduction, paid from the savings.

Whisia is a cloud cost reduction service for companies on AWS or Google Cloud whose bills have crept up. Starting with read-only access, we audit what you run, then do the migration and the tuning over six months. Our fee is 30% of what you save, so if the bill does not fall, you pay nothing.

How the fee works

  1. Agree the baseline. We take your average monthly bill over the last three months, by service, and agree how to adjust it if your usage grows.
  2. Measure each month. The adjusted baseline minus your actual bill is the verified saving.
  3. Pay 30% of that. The fee is 30% of the verified saving for six months. If there is no saving, there is no fee.

You sign the baseline before any work starts, and you accept a savings statement each month.

What happens in the six months

Where the savings tend to be

Why it should not cause an outage

Our background is one of the biggest trading platforms in fintech, where an outage is a regulatory event. We change one thing at a time, in agreed windows, with a rollback ready. We start with read-only access, and nothing changes without your approval.

Who it is not for

A small bill, where 30% of the saving would not pay for the work. And companies that will not allow changes after the audit, because findings on paper do not lower a bill.

Questions

How much can we save?

We will not promise a figure before we have seen your bill. The audit gives you an estimated saving for each finding, and you only pay on savings that have been verified.

What does it cost if nothing is saved?

Nothing. Our fee comes out of the difference, so a bill that refuses to fall costs you nothing.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to your cloud accounts to start. Changes are approved by you and go through your own process.

Do you cover Google Cloud as well as AWS?

Yes, both. There is more detail on AWS in our AWS cost optimisation page.

Do savings stay after the six months?

That is the aim. The changes are made in your accounts and the savings are yours to keep, and the fee ends after six months.

Send us your rough monthly bill. Twenty minutes is usually enough to tell whether it is worth an audit.
